Scratch Wood Dresser
Here is my first attempt at a dresser.  Build from scratch, I started with the trees.  I modified the plans slightly that were taken from a magazine.  Cherry and Walnut used instead of the Mahogany and Ebony called for in the plans.  Drawers are Maple with Beech bottoms.  All the parts have a lacquer finish which was then hand buffed with brown paper.  The plans called for a ¾ ply case which I used but it made the unit very heavy.  I plan to build a companion low boy next but will use more traditional methods for the case to reduce the weight.

Picture Frames and Display Easel
5x7 and 8x10 picture frames and display easel. Made for a fundraiser at my daughter's school. The coves were made on the table saw with slanted fence. Each of the pieces was made from one piece of wood. Finished with 5 coats of oil/urethane and rubbed out with a couple coats of paste wax.

Rocking Horse
Let me introduce " Yoshi " to you. He is made from discarded building material, except for his mane , tail, and eyelashes. The plans were purchased several years ago, and I made it for my grand-daughter, who was 2 years old at the time. It was finished with oak stain and some paint at strategic spots where necessary such as on the hooves.

She named it "Yoshi" after, you guessed it, after the Mario Brother's loyal steed. She played on it until she outgrew it and it now resides in my sons attic waiting patiently for the next rider.
