Rob PortraitAs you may know, the Journal recently put out "The Way to Woodwork" our first DVD series -- and it's already one of our best selling products. But the scale of things just made a huge leap. So with no further ado, I would like to announce our latest effort: Woodworking with the Stars. All I can say so far is that a major cable network heard our high concept pitch of teaming together master woodworkers with Hollywood talents and they said "Yes!" Teams will be judged on the basis of style, joinery and woodworking attitude, as they work against the clock to complete their projects in one season.

Expert woodworkers Ian Kirby, myself and Scott Phillips are going to each be paired with a woodworking novice celebrity. Scarlet Johansson has requested a pairing with Ian Kirby; Joan Rivers (an expert at "getting work done") will be working wood with yours truly and Charlie Sheen has been matched up with Scott Phillips. Sparks flew right from the first meeting, with Charlie and Scott arguing about where to find the perfect butt joint (it's a good thing this is a cable show!). The behind the scenes interviews alone are worth the price of admission. Rumors right now are that the series will be broadcast on the OMG! network in the hot new 4-5:30 a.m. Monday morning time-slot. Stay tuned!
